Schizophrenia-Relapse

John Bricks is a 30-year-old man with a 10-year history of schizophrenia. He has been well on clozapine for five years. He had always lived with his parents. He used to be a social drinker. He had never smoked. He used to work at building sites. Four years ago, when his parents became unwell, he gave up work to care for them. His father died three years ago, and his mother died four months ago. Over the past three months, he has not been taking his clozapine regularly, he has been neglecting himself, and has reported persecutory ideas about his neighbours and has been shouting out of his window at night. Often, he smells of alcohol. He has taken up smoking. John’s relative Bonnie Bricks has always involved in John’s and their parents’ care and used to visit them weekly. A community nurse arranged an appoint for him at your clinic. John refused to come. Therefore, Bonnie is attending to discuss John’s case.
